Cannot Click, Drag, and drop.

Hi,
My website is internetmarketingstores.net and I was able to use the wizard and got it set up OK but when I attempt to edit a page and click,drag,drop--it does nothing at all. It is almost like there must be an "on switch" somewhere to activate the edit mode? I have looked at all the tutorials and attempted to duplicate each required step to no avail. Is there a magic switch somewhere?

Hi, any chance you may have the lock ON?
On the BV top menu.
Click Edit, then click on unlock all. Or put the mouse over an object, right click on the object & select Lock/unlock.

Soholaunch is not drag-and-drop oriented, but more "insert" and "copy" enabled....(assuming since you posted in the Soho Forum).

I just installed soholaunch and have the same problem with click and drag. I click on the image like the tutorial says and then try to drag and drop but nothing happens!!

Also the window for working is not full screen. Can it be ina full screen?

The Soho panel is not "full sized" and is generated directly off the server....

Certain items are drag-drop, and others are click-place. You need to familiarize yourself with the actual admin panel to feel comfortable enough to accompish what looks so easy in the tutorials.

You can drag'n'drop from the admin/webmaster panels to the tables/cells in the pages, but you'll need to have anything first uploaded to the server, meaning unlike BV, you cannot simply import them from your HD into the admin panel, but need to FTP it up to folders you create (images, copy, etc.). To make this a lot easier, I have found that organizing all the images and text for each page into folders separate from each other helps me tremendously, as I am not always working within a mindset that I can easily return to, and thus, with different folders, I can find things much later much easier.

Unless I am doing something terribly wrong .....

But the user interface is terribly frustrating! Very slow to update (although I have a very fast ADSL connection), window is too small to fit everything and can not be resized, and when I try to edit a page I just can not put anything in the boxes. I click for example on the image buttons and then on one of the boxes but nothing happens!

Are there any settings that I have to check before everything turns to normal?

When inserting an image, or using the text editor, another window pops up, so if you have a pop up blocker on, the smaller window interface wont appear, or appear to be doing nothing. Also, the editor is java based so make sure you have the latest java platform installed on your computer. This may also prevent certain applications from appearing that are java dependent.

For 3 days I have been checking everything but still the click and drag won't work on my computer.

I managed to get it working from a friend's pc but not my own.

- Pop ups are not blocked
- Javascript is enabled
- Installed all the latest java applications

Still it soes not work!!
Any other suggestions?

Operator malfunction? Im JOKING.. !!

Well if it works on your friends computer, Im going to assume its some setting of yours or your mouse driver or pointer. Is your software up to date? When you point with the mouse, make sure you hold down the left button until you actually see the ITEM being dragged and into the position you wish it to be before releasing. If you are on a laptop using one of those touch bad things, it will require a two handed operation, one to hold it, one to navigate it to the touch down point. If you dont see anything attatched to your mouse cursor, you havent gotten hold of the object, for whatever reason.
