Yes George just republish your index if you have removed soho via fantastico.. the rest of your stuff should still be there.

But like you said, there is no index file now..only the old index file which must of happened automatically when I installed soho, so what would happen if I simply republished the index page. Please don't spank me, I am just so totally in the dark here.

He does not have SOHO installed anymore - he has deleted it. He can republish his index page and it will work.

Open up your index page in BV and republish it. Forget about Soho, forget about your old index page... forget about barbecues... coffee, ice cream.... etc

Well, if it were me I would yes, it doesn't hurt to. Just go into your ftp manager, then into your public_html folder, then delete old_index or whatever it was called.
