Templates - How to edit them....

Hi,

I am using Soholaunch and have picked a template...called:-

Move to Maui (Martini Red)

I really like the template but would like to remove the picture of the fish, is this possible???

Would like someone to tell me in step by step how to do this if its possible.

You have to download the template folder to do this..but yes.. it can be done. Step by step? I forget exactly where they live but...sohoadmin, languages, pages.. site pages.. get into that folder youll find them.

Sorry to be a pain Karen, I cant seem to find this folder.

Im logged into my Sohoadmin, and have the following folders to go into:-

Create New Page / Edit Pages / File Manager / Template Manager / Menu Navigation

Blog Manager / FAQ / Photo Albumn / Web Form / Shopping Cart / Member Login / Event / Site Pal

Traffic / BackUp / Database / Webmaster / Plugins / Help Centre

Am I in the wrong place?

You have to go thru your host account cpanel or ftp connect and then go into the soho folders.. You wont find it thru the soho admin panel. You then download the whole template folder.. edit the template images... use notepad or an html editor.. to insert a new image. I guess you could download just that particular image and reup yours named the same ..if it was the same dimensions etc.... upload the folder/image back to its original location.

I am on my control panel for Voda Host, is this the right place?

I still can't locate the folder...Really sorry...I have never done this before so sorry to be a pain!

Ive found them finally in File Manager...SohoAdmin....Program....Modules....Site Templates....Pages...

Now I have selected the Travel - Maui - Martini Red....Which file do I download?

I think I have worked out how to change the template but now not sure on how to save it and upload...What file does it need to be saved as?

You save it as the same and upload the whole folder back to its original position.

I was wondering the same thing and made it as far as finding the template pages i want to use (fun>field blue). Whta exactly do I download?

It would be remove if that template you download is have a edit application.

You download the whole folder.. as you may also edit css styles.. when you finish making and saving your changes you up the whole folder. You also have to place any images you add to to that folder so that they will work correctly on site.

It doesnt REMOVE the template.. u just get a copy on your hard drive. If you are unsure of your changes ..also save a backup copy..or you can just reinstall it via the template manager.. no problem. When you upload you replace the files so your changes work.
