    soho login issue

    Hi

I am using bluevoda for the majority of my websites. however i have tried to install Soholaunch for an addon on domain name and not my main domain name.

I have played with soholaunch on my main domain and was able to log into the sohoadmin part. however with the addon domains I haven't been able to log to the sohoadmin part of the website, so i haven't been able to make a website with soholaunch. although it looks like it is setup properly in Cpannel

    Thanks for help

    Jason

      Re: soho login issue

      ok time for the noob.
I can't login into soho to agree to the eula. I have looked on their website and the only login there is for partners, which i'm not cause it won't recognize my admin name and password.
When i tried their license area i think it charged me for a license agreement
When i try to login into the admin part of my website via

all i'm getting is a 404 error page.

very confused at the moment, where should i be going to for the eula as i just cant find it?

        Hi

I spent some time going thru the soho forums and found this comment

Fantastico doesn't give you the option to install Soholaunch in anything other than the top level directory, as it assumes that it will be running your entire site (that's what its designed to do, so not a farfetched assumption).
To install it in a subdirectory, you'll need to use the Soholaunch installer on the Soholaunch site.

Just to clarify is this correct, or has there been an update of some sort to fix this?

Thanks for help, and sorry I know I'm been a pain.

Yes.. it has to be installed in a domain or a subdomain. You cannot without many such headaches just put it in a folder.. it needs the use of a domain name to operate correctly.

            Hi Karen

Sorry was away at hospital, so to clarify,
I can use soholaunch with the main domain and subdomains of that main domain. however i can't use it on an addon domain. for example.

            main domain 123.com
            sub domain z.123.com
            addon domain abc.org

which is what i have been trying to do.

again sorry to be a pain, but have been trying to use soholaunch on a number of different addon domains with no success.

Yes.. you can use it as an addon domain.

You just cant create a folder and install it in a folder. It has to be installed thru a created addon, main, or subdomain.
