custom-order web page question

Hello, I wonder if someone could help me.
I am trying to build the store where customers would see the s******* of fabric and then order different styles and sizes of product that I make.
The price of the product depends on the width and the style of product (dog collar to be exact).
I watched soho tutorials, but I'm not sure if I can do this. I noticed, that i can apply different taxes and shipping, which is great, I'm just not sure if I can have many prices attached to one swatch of fabric.
Your advice would be appreciated.

create the product in the shopping cart.. then use variables to set up widths and pricing.. you can also make a form and attatch the form to the product to list NON price affecting variables.. and there is also an addon that makes a form that does change the pricing options.
