    Soholanch Shopping cart

    Hi,

Is there anyone who knows what the "Special Tax Rate %" in the Advanced Options of the shopping cart menu? I could not find its definition on the vodahost site.

    Thanks!

As stressed upon installation, VodaHost does not offer detailed support for Soholaunch, and you should be capable to seek solutions from the official Soholaunch resources available online.

The special Tax Rates usually refer to an additional Tax being added to/calculated upon the Base Rate you initially configure (which was written primarily for International set-ups) ... as in a Local/State Tax (Base) + a Federal/VAT/Luxury Tax (Special). For example, here in Florida, the local County/State Sales Tax is 7%, but for purchases over $10,000 the added local Luxury Tax Rate falls to 6.5%, which would be considered a Special Tax in the US configuration of Soholaunch: a $15,000 purchase using this Special Tax configuration would mean the first $10,000 would be subject to 7% ($700), and the additional $5,000 would be subject to 6.5% ($325), for a total of $1,025 rather than the flat 7% rate of $1,050.

To be able to configure Special Tax Rates, you will either need to easily create a custom PHP include within Soholaunch yourself, or find one online already written to install (via Google Search), as explained here in the Soholaunch Manual.
