Installing Google + 1 button on a Website created with soholaunch

With the new Google +1 button coming out it seems that this is a must do on all of my web pages. I have spent hours trying to install the code given by Google as well as by Vodahost to no avail. When clicking on the html button, when I am editing my pages, there is no <header> or any other html that google and Voda host speak of. Am I doing something wrong? does anyone know how to do this? thank you for all of your help
