    About site map

My site is www.safersecurityproducts.com I am not sure how I managed to do it but I have 2 site maps listed in my cpanel.

    Question #1
One is .xml and the other is php. Should I delete the php and leave the other one?

    Question #2
If I change /Home_Page to /home do I need to create another site map, delete the old one and submit the new one?

    Re: About site map

Hi; It's usually best to have two sitemaps - one (.XML - see: http://www.sitemaps.org/) for the Googlebot and other search engine spiders and another (usually .HTML) for your human visitors, so they can navigate quickly.

Yes, if you change the name of a file then your sitemap should reflect this as your sitemap should always accurately reflect the "layout" of your website, although your home ( landing ) page would normally just be titled index.html ...

Hope this was of some help to you.

        Re: About site map

I mentioned that I have 2 site maps. which has been indicated that it is ok. The problem I am having now is when I post a link as http://www.safersecurityproducts.com it pull up with the body of the page blank.
After the page pulls up, I can click on site map and it pulls up the site map that I created. I would think this would be confusing to my customers.
Is there a solution to this?
