I am trying to set up my Voda site with Mal's shopping cart, but am having some trouble figuring things out. If anybody out there uses it, could you please respond here or PM me, I really could use step by step instructions on setting up my shipping and other things, I would be very very grateful!

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
Thanks, Beth, for answering for me.... LOL... just saw this post.
Yes, I still use Mal's, although I had to upgrade to the premium account, becasue I needed option pull down menus that are not offered with the free version.
One of my suppliers uses it, and I liked the ease of it, that's partially why I decided to go with them.Regards,
Sania

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
There is a forum for Mal Kart users. Check that out Sania. This link will answer quite a few question particularly if your html is limited.

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
I'm still building my store so I'm no expert, but because (it appears anyway) that you can't easily have different shipping rules with different products like I have now - I'm not having the cart do anything with adding shipping prices, I'm adding them all separately with the product. It should work for me anyway; perhaps in the longer term I'll come up with something different.

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
Vicki,
I appreciate the response, however, if you look at my last post, you'd notice that it was written in OCTOBER, and we are now in August. I've been using Mal's all this time. I've seen the other forum long ago.
I'm also a bit offended by you saying that my html might be limited, as I came here from SOL, having built my own sites there, and now on 2 different builders with Voda.Regards,
Sania

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
I made the comment late at night.......notice I said MIGHT. I also came her from SOL & my second store (which ofcourse I can't name here as it's still hosted there) I built entirely myself & it has nearly 900 products with all sorts of viables etc. (& I rebuilt my first store after the builder did a lousy job...) My html knowledge is quite limited - I'm now using Mals & can just s****e by with my html knowledge. I've now built 3 (3.5 with doing 2 versions of the art store) stores using 2 different programs, SOL's & BV, plus I have 2 blogs that I operate as well. I know people who have up to 3 SOL stores who aren't happy, but don't plan to leave because they don't feel capable of building their own store. The fact that someone has operated a store/s for many years tells you nothing about their html knowledge. Just take myself as an example. I didn't look at the date before I posted it was about 11.30p.m. & I was looking for anything on Mals cart on this forum.

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
Sania, Is there any reason why you haven't got a 'continue shopping' link on your cart? I just ordered 3 teasets from your store & had to use the back button after the first one. Unfortunately from your shipping details it seems you don't ship to Australia, so I can't order!

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
Vicki,
I apologize for not having a "continue shopping" button on my check out, I actually thought I had it. Personally, I also feel that sometimes it's easier to use the back button to go to the category I want, instead of to the home page. But you're right, I should have it.
I can check on shipping to Australia if you want to do it manually (or I can set something up for you on the site). Unfortunately, it might take a bit, as my laptop was stolen a few weeks ago, and I lost all my passwords for all my sites, and now cannot sign in to Mal's. I'm trying to take care of all this.
Anyway, I'll try adn email you too.Regards,
Sania

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
Sorry for your loss. I keep a coded list of my passwords in my office & I try & keep some sort of list at my sister-in-inlaws place in case of fire. Doesn't life get complicated. My husband wonders why I keep such a list of favourite sites.....how do I remember them all otherwise; almost all are business sites of one kind or the other.

Re: Mal's Ecommerce
Thanks, Vicki, I appreciate the sentiment. Yes, it got quite comlicated, with having all my passwords on the laptop... slowly I'm getting them back, and/or changing them.
Are you still interested in the tea sets? I think I might be able to ship them to Australia, but we'll have to do the transaction manually.Regards,
Sania
