Karen’s right, I have seen this on lots of shopping carts & this works where the owner of the cart generates some Radom codes that the cart software produces. These are usually sent out in an email to let someone know they have been given a discount coupon next time they buy. (Works as a good reminder/promotion as well) Then when they come back to your shop & use the code, the cart will cancel that code out.
This all happens before the final check out.
Yes...how does one do this? I, too, am very interested in offering coupons/promo discounts to my customers...and I am a newbie at this. Just launched my 1st site.
I have "add to cart" buttons on my site now that re-direct someone to paypal to checkout. How exactly do you put in a coupon code?
Thanks...
As far as I can tell, paypal does not give me this option. But I am willing to use soholaunch on the backend of my bluevoda website - in order to get a coupon code box in there!
Any suggestions on how to do it?
Thanks...
Soho is it's OWN builder - so your pages would not match and it really wouldn't work well.
I suggest you look at some other payment methods - like CartManager - or Mal's E - both of which you could still take paypal, but would give you the coupon option in the cart.
CartManager has an upfront fee and monthly cost. Mal's has a free and paid version. I don't know if the coupon is available in the free version.
