Didn't see your old look, so I can only say that the site looks nice and everything that I tried got the expected result. Nice colors and loads fast. Lot of google though.

Lot of work,
Some tweaking will help.
-Consider making your pages the same width, even on 1028 needed to scroll, those on 800 will see half your pages.
-You are asking people to sign up for freebies, I couldn't find a privacy statement. Also "valid only in the UK" would certainly help avoid misleading users in other parts.
-On adsense, some users like them some do not.

Truthfully, the home page hurt my eyes, so I didn't stay on it long. That's one of the downfalls of a black background - specially for some of us as we age :(

I agree with Bill about the size of your pages, people do not tend to like the sideways scroll. I like the look of your site, I am a fan of blue and black, it doesn't hurt my eyes, looks nice ... you can easily navigate through your site which is another bonus ... good job!
