    Anyone up for a swedish site?

    I have just finished mw website www.snickis.se and I'm pretty proud of it too. It was done with no prior experience and just downloading BluwVoda some weeks ago. The idea is to sell designed tables in oak and walnut that I produce myself according to the customers whishes. I would of course appreciate some feedback even if you don't understand Swedish.

      Hi, for your 1st time attempt, you have done really, really well. I would be pleased.
      Not to sure what the site is exactly about, besides tables & table top finishes, But I cant read Swedish, so that’s not important. The only thing I may do at some time is drop the images down to about 15-25 kb max on this page & link to the larger image. http://www.snickis.se/detaljer.html It will just help the page load faster. This may help you? http://www.developertutorials.com/dt...=8662&vt=0
      I also noticed that not many of the images have NO alternative text. It is becoming more important to name your images well these days & place some good alternative text. IE: http://www.snickis.se/wooden-table.jpg Then table oak wooden in the alt/ box. When I search Google I tend to search 40% of the time by images.

      Good luck, doing a nice job.
      Regards Chris.

          Re: Anyone up for a swedish site?

          Well done, you have done a good job.
          Work on some details:
          -Drop the page width from 1488px to 1024 or better to 800px and center your page in the browser. Go to page properties for this.
          -For the links on page http://www.snickis.se/partners.html, consider changing the target to "_blank" that way you keep your custoemrs on your page and they can close the links and still be on your site.
          -Invert your page titles and add a word allusive to furniture and/or your business.
          -"Hemsidan byggd med" overlaps the Voda logo.

          Good luck.

              Chris,
              Thanks again for your input. I have a program that resizes the pictures so I can get them small but how do I link that small picture to a bigger one. I would like to have a pop-up window with a better quality picture but not sure how to do that. I used the Gallety option in BV for all pictures but that doesn't allow me to do that - or? Any suggestions?
              Thanks in advance.

                Hello Mats,

                What you want to do with the pictures is put thhe large one one it's owen page. then publish that page. put the link of the large picture on the small one. you can find where to do this by going to the pictures properties.

                Good luck with your site.

                    Re: Anyone up for a swedish site?

                    I am trying to work the image one out, but you can have this if you want
                    Place this 1st part, cut & paste in between the head of your page.

                    <HEAD>

                    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">

                    <!-- Begin
                    function popUp(URL) {
                    day = new Date();
                    id = day.getTime();
                    eval("page" + id + " = window.open(URL, '" + id + "', 'toolbar=0,scrollbars=0,location=0,statusbar=0,men ubar=0,resizable=1,width=625,height=500,left = 192,top = 184');");
                    }
                    // End -->
                    </script>

                    This this 2nd part, cut & paste into a html box on the same page.

                    <A HREF="javascript:popUp('http://www.snickis.se/stavlimma%20valnut%20oljad.jpg')">Larger image</A>

                    <!-- Script Size: 0.73 KB -->

                    The 1st part you only have to put in the head of the page once & ajust the size of the window (625x500 at the moment)
                    The 2nd part you will have to change your image url in each one.
                    The part that says larger image can be changed to any thing you like. Its the text link on the page.
                    Regards Chris.
