    New website launched. Pls review!

I just launched our new website http://www.eecalc.com and I would love your feedback. Please let me know whether the page download times were OK. I am concerned about this.

Feel free to give me your feedback. It was invaluable the last time I launched a site. Thanks in advance.

Re: New website launched. Pls review!

    Hi,
FAQ page could maybe do with something under the FAQ, looks a bit of an empty space. (Photo or image)
On the same page it may be nice to have a back to the top click next to each answerer.
This page has no main menu http://www.eecalc.com/eyecalc.html Ah! Don’t want them to escape EH!
    These 2 need centering http://www.eecalc.com/purchase.html http://www.eecalc.com/screenshots.html
Not sure on the FAQ linking from the front page. It leaves you a bit lost after you arrive at the FAQ area to where to go next. It maybe better to have one link just to the FAQ top of the page & have a bit more text on your front page for the SE’s to find.
You will also need to get some meta tags for all the pages.
But as to loading times. I found it very good. (connected at 1.5 ish meg)

But beside my gripes! The site looks really professional & clean looking.
    Doing a nice job.
    Regards Chris.

The look of your site is great, simple and easy to navigate.

The colored writing under the features panel made me think they were links. Its up to you but I think it would appear better in one color.

      Great site, well done.

        Thanks Chris and Phil.

        - Chris
I have centered the two pages . But these have not been published yet.

Re: FAQ feedback, I am not too sure on this, but on second thoughts your suggestion makes sense.

I have to add meta tags - I knew I was missing something.

I am greatly relieved that the pages are loading fast.

Thanks for such a detailed feedback.

        - Phil

I have changed the colors on the features as suggested by you. Thanks for the valuable feedback.

Others , Your review is still awaited. Please keep them coming while I get back to publishing all the corrections.

Re: New website launched. Pls review!

You need to do some work to be found. First, the page titles - your name isn't known and won't be searched for. What is the first and best phrase that you think someone will use on a search engine that you want to be found for?

Now, before you use that - check to make sure that's really what people use to search for. If it is - then that phrase HAS to be the first thing in your title of the home page and you need to make sure it is featured also on the home page.

Do this to some extent on each page - but make sure the title fits the page. Do not repeat any of the same titles or meta descriptions on other pages - each needs it's own.

The home page itself looks very professional. I didn't look at the others just now.

                  Nice work. Clean web site
-The link to http://www.eecalc.com/products.html does not work.
-Consider a few testimonials. Does it work type of thing.
-It seems to be targeted to a select audience "Who can use EYECALC?
EYECALC can be used by anyone ............." Are you selectively deciding your market?

Thanks Bill. I fixed the link problem. I have to look at testimonials. I guess the product is very specifically targetted at engineers working on communications.
