Please someone look at my site to help me figure which simple shopping cart to add. I cant' figure out how to tie it all together....thanks www.makingreatstuff.com
Hello all!!! thanks for helping! www.makingreatstuff.com
Youve kinda put the CART before the host so to speak. <PUN> You should have decided what cart to build with prior to now. You can salvage this by using Beth's Cart Manager, or one of the freebie ones like paypal or Mal's Ecommerce, and copy and paste the code buttons in.
I noted you advertised for cc, do you have a merchant account? Or do you plan this from paypal? If you use paypal, might as well use their button system as well.

Karen... you crack me up!
I agree with Karen... Beth's Cart Manager would be really good for you to use.
The first thing I see when I enter your store is "Thanks for shopping with us, come back soon" - that space needs to give me information on why I want to be here and shop - not thank me for something I haven't done yet!
Where you have
"Hello
Wecome to .... etc"
You need to change that to be a headline of what you have - let me know I've gotten to the site I want to be on.
And if you have any questions on CM - feel free to ask me!
I have built my pages first and am now working on a shopping cart. I need to know if there is a way to use this page as a checklist sortof and then put one add to cart button at the bottom???
You've got a good start. I don't know if you are selling the insert or the frames also..cuz the frames looks (not all) as if it were placed there over the " place you favorite item here" like some image framing software, maybe it is the lighting. The color lavender for text doesn't work for me, it is nice but not for text in IMO and there are two different colors of text on your " about us" page.
Askin me wut i think is a dangerous proposition! :)
I think your purple flowers are a bit too much at the top and that header area needs to be smaller. Its taking up too much real estate that you could be using to sell with.
Id like to see your 'Great Stuff' so I know what you are talking about when i get there, and right now im not too sure until i read and browse around. So you need some visual pictures of GREAT stuff front and center.
As for the cart buttons.. I think you need two tables there.. One for each size, and then the variations under it, and then two add to carts. Look at Beths Achildspalace.com on some of the bedding pages to get an idea of what I mean, except yours would be two.
I think that smaller pic at the bottom with the single lilac would make a GREAT header!
Over all youve got a great start and have the right idea, you just need some tweaks and rough edges knocked off.!

By the way, I had people tell me customers wouldn't like this and would prefer having the add to cart with variables on each picture - but I've gotten nothing but a good response and these 2 pages have a very high ROI.
You can't do it however, with products with lots of different variables - and those each have their own product pages - for example:
The great thing about BV and using it in conjunction with CM is that I have the freedom to do all the pages differently - and to make each page work the best for what that page is selling.
Now, for your sports page, you'd want 2 drop down menu's - and you wouldn't need that page. They'd simply have the first drop down where they choose the team, 2nd one would choose the size - and look how much more compact that would fit!
Those are beautiful and stunning pages. I'm so new at this I really appreciate the advise. I'm going to work on my sports page, I understand your suggestion but I can't figure out how to do it. I did finally figure out how to do the other pages. Look now at www.makingreatstuff.com/baby_boy.html
I think it looks good but How do I change the font color in the html section?
I'm wiped out////////lol lol......
Beth
Hello all!!! thanks for helping! www.makingreatstuff.com
You did a good job with what you did figure out. Many would still be cross-eyed trying to do what you did. To change the font color on that, you have to do it by editing the html code that you were supplied to add there. Look at the code and you'll find a part that looks like this:
<td><input type=checkbox name=APPENDITE****5000 value="|<BR><LI> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00|15||||||||||||||||| 8x10 with wood frame 15.00"></td>
<td> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00</font></td>
add in the color as I did below in red to make it easy to see, using the code for the color you want:
<td><input type=checkbox name=APPENDITE****5000 value="|<BR><LI> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00|15||||||||||||||||| 8x10 with wood frame 15.00"></td>
<td> <font color="#0000FF"> 8x10 with wood frame 15.00</font></td>
I used a code that makes it blue, but I don't know if you want blue or if it's the right blue. :)
thank you for the kind words. I am still cross eyed!! For some dumb reason I can't make a working drop down box.!!!!!!!! ggggrrrrrrrrr!! I'm working on my sports page///////
thanks
