Expanding width

Hello people

I have just completed certain parts of my site and everything seemed OK.
But after starting my adsense programme, the width of my site literally doubled. I've tried the bit I can, but I seem not to know what's gone wrong. Please can anyone help?
Meanwhile, what do you think of my efforts

Hi Jahman,

Right click and go into page properties, you can set your page width there and then just place a mark in the center box.. That should do it for you. You might want to make the width 800...

I have tried doing that, but it keeps going back to 971 – I think my header is that wide. But that’s not really my main problem. At 971 of width, the site looked OK when published. But after adding adsense to my site, the site just went from 971 of width to almost 1900, and this is only noticeable when published.
Please I really do need help as my site now looks terrible. But this confusing problem aside, can anyone please tell me how my site is, and what I can improve.?
