    OK.
    Now :
Your sun flowers are not all of the size, some are 57x57 others are 59x59.
First thing to do make all the sun flower pictures the same size, and align them.
The text, you can align that one too, and the transparent shape must be on top of the text & the pictures, so they will look like one link. Just have to follow that little tip I told you before.

About the loading, it is always good to resize the picture. I think I my folders I have 10 or more picture of the same one but of different size.
My internet connection is very fast, so I do not know what to say about the loading of your page. I am loading them quite fast.

        Thanks Alas,

How did you know what size my sunflowers are? Do you have a handy tip on how to resize them all to the same size?? Will go thru all my pages & ensure that the shape box is on top of the text. Do you think I should have a picture backgorund or will the yellow colour be OK? I have tried to add a picture background but BV keeps adding the picture in a tiled effect rather than one picture!!!

Really appreciate all your knowledge & wisdom.

        Thanks,
        Linda

I've managed to find a solution to the size issue so I'll have a go at inserting the new images.

            Hi Tazmarlin

Try reduce the size of your photos, old or new ones. I check one and is 50X70 cm at 72 dpi, like a poster. Reduce them (if you know how t do it) at least 90% in order to have a more "live" site without the need of a high speed connection. I have a 4Mbps and i have to wait..to see your images.

Taz - It appears you have manually adjusted the sizes of your images. You could achieve a crisper look by resizing them in a program such as pixresizer (free download here at BV) to make them just the size you need without that compressed look. Have a look here

                Thanks Lara & Angelos,

I will download the Pixresizer but what size do you suggest I set them to so that the page loading is OK?

                Thanks for your input,

                  Hi Linda,
pix is a very good one, I use it for all my work.
The size is according to your design. For ex. a good suggestion is to have the page not wider then 800, so if you have the whole page within that size, you should be ok.
I have some pictures that they are 700 X 150 & they load Ok.
                  Ciao

                    Linda-
You can have the pictures the same size you have them now, but resize them from their original sizes with the picture resizer instead of using the corner or other handles.

                    For example:
Your picture of your house has an actual size of 2,032px × 1,524px but it appears you have adjusted the size manually to 585px × 386px.

So, you could put it in the resizer at it's original dimension and have that program resize it to the 585px you want it to be. The result will be the same size, but faster loading.

If you follow the instructions in the link I gave you from Collector's Info, you can also reduce the kb's further, without losing any size or quality, and it will load even faster.

                      Hi Guyz,

I'm in the process of resizing my images with pixresizer but how can I tell what size I have reduced them to as I used the drag n drop handles so can't see a size in the properties box of the picture?

                      Cheers,
                      Linda

Couple of ways to do this.

The way I know what size your pictures is that I use Firefox as a secondary browser. In Firefox, you can right click on a published page and click page info and look in the media tab and all the information about all your images is there, including actual and published sizes.

Another way is right in your BV sitebuilder.
Open the page where the image you are adjusting is.
Make sure you have the ruler enabled in your sitebuilder - To do that click View and Ruler.
Then you can see what size your pictures are on your page. It doesn't have to be exact, you can approximate and all will be fine.

                        Good Luck
