Mudslinger, would suggest white font on the blue area at the bottom...might be a bit easier on the eye. What a great concept!

Hey Tim,
You have a good start. The text at the top right covers up some other text. Also you might want to add some other pages, and put your about us there. the text for your info is very small and not an easy read. Some of us old farts that want to retire have a hard time reading the little font.
I agree with joseygirl that blue on blue is a little much.
In your research did you learn that non Mexicans cannot own land?
Minor details and I'm dure there are ways around this.
Great idea, and keep up the good work.

Try changing the text on the right on your homepage to include bullets. It's hard to read without. Also, noticed that some of your images are covering text.

You've done really well!!! I just have one suggestion which would be to put that gorgeous photo of the sunset with "Retired In Style" that you have written on it, up the top as a header kind of thing or something. (Sorry, don't know what's happening to me english today. LOL.) It is really beautiful, represents what your site is all about, and it would be great up the top where people would first see it. :) But the layout you have now works well too. Great job!

That picture is beautiful.. but i thought it was an intro and was wondering how to click somewhere else to get to the rest of your site, and so will alot of people who land on it. So either use it as an entry page.. or resize it to a header so its apparent that more info is on the page.

Also when reading your page it reads like a page title

Well that will get you brownie points no where.. it doesnt make for a smooth professional read and you dont need it to begin every sentence. Sit down with a child and explain your site to them.. if they can follow you and you can catch their attention, you are halfway to writing your sales copy. Simply state it as if you were discussing it with me then, personally on the fone. You wouldnt say to me .. retired in style at every sentence would u?

I wouldnt worry about what Alexa does. Only people who bother with Alexa are other webmasters. Its owned and operated by AMAZON.com The only traffic it counts are people using its tool bar.. it doesnt accurately reflect anything.
