I'm in the process of changing this

This is a site which I published after my original one crashed. It looks a bit too "corporate" for me and so I am in the process of making it more like my first one but I wanted some thoughts on how it looks anyway so I may reincorporate some things that also might have worked.

Here is the original site: www.thebraintraincenter.com

Here is the first page of what I am redoing: www.braintraincenter.com
This second one is the work in progress so please give me some feedback on the "feel" between the two. Thanks so much.

Ok, let me stop you right there before you get too far...

Bring your page width in to no more than 980 wide if you want to stop many many hundreds of thousands of people (me included) from scrolling across you rpage as it doesn't fit into my browser window.

Otherwise, I like the layout. If you can bring it in...Perfect!
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Re: I'm in the process of changing this

Personally, I prefer the original design. Cleaner, more professional and organized looking --- "lighter" and more "transparent" maybe?

The latter looks too forboding (darker colors, not "soothing" or indicative of cognition inducing color motivators) and "rigid" ... and the BBB logo should not replace yours -- ever! If you do not have an official logo, then leave it Textual as originally done, and leave all unnecessary affilliations and "credibility badges" to the footer or interior section as should be.

Also, on the updated version, never lay a different shaped page elemnt over the edge of a life-like image ... look ameturish and totally incongruent. Either provide some baground margin, or "set it" as the other images to provide the uniformity the eye seeks....

Hi, seems like many of the pages need centering & there is quite a few things moving around on page transitions.
You also have an image on all your headers that is slowing the loading times down as its around 620kb & should be aiming at about 20kb for one this size. . http://thebraintraincenter.com/iStoc...92203Small.jpg
Also the http://thebraintraincenter.com/iStoc...0671Small.jpeg is at 400=kb, so nearly a meg on 2 images.

        Good luck.
        Regards Chris.
