I have just published my web site, www.domaineduchatenet.com. I am NOT computer literate, and some pages are not coming up, would appreciate any comments and advice.
Thanks in anticipation
Hi, off to a good start, but still need some tweaks. So i will come & live there for a few months & sort your site out for you free of charge, & struggle with the beautiful Dordogne landscape during this period. (Only joking)
1. Front page image needs reducing a lot from 4 meg to speed up page loading. The front page should be one of your fastest.
2. Just use the site url for the home page links & not with index.html
3. you should be building your site from the far left of the page & centering using the page properties to make sure the page looks good in all browsers.
4.Not sure why some pages are not working? Can only assume its down to a miss spelling or upper/lower case letters problem.
Thanks for the tip, maybe I will have to take you up on your kind offer!!!!
I do not know what a URL is. Do you mean that on the links of pages other than index I should omit .html?
Your place looks wonderful! Is it all for rent or do you do bed & breakfast and apartments? It's not apparent from the home page and I couldn't access the rest of the links.
Sorry, can't comment on the more technical stuff - still learning daily myself!! Will come back for another look later to see if your links are working.
I don't know where the Dordogne is but it looks like a great place. What Chris said about starting your page in the upper left hand corner of the page builder, looks like you have done..... but right click on the page and in the page properties click the center in browser.. that will get rid of the gray bar of empty space on the right side of your pages.
Yo also need to read and reread all your text...........I knows it gets boring and you tend to read in all the words that should be there, but you have a few missing words here and there.
Nice work and keep it up!!!
Mike
Any excuse for non performance only weakens the charactor

Hi, think Davids got that one now in a post above. URL (Abbreviation of Uniform Resource Locator) Basically a web page's address.
I agree with the guys that you are off to a very, very good start with your site. Just correct the link issues for the location, information and contact us.
Also, might I suggest that you use lightbox on your gallery of photos.
