  • Are my Pictures to heavy?

    Hello everyone.

Please can you review this one. In particular the load times of the photos. I've got a feeling they are a bit heavy?

    Many thanks

They take about a second or two on my cable broadband. But they could be reduced further without loss I'm sure.

umm ... well I just checked the one workshop pic on the main page, and its 192 kbs itself, thats pretty much all you want your webpage to be period .. but .. this image would be fine and would be greatly reduced if it were saved in a jpeg format .. as opposed to png .. no real reason for that to be a png - your quality should be the same and the image would likely be about 24kbs or less .. so that's what i would do .. cheers!

Pretty close, I just converted it to jpeg and it's 30 kbs .. not a bad guess, lol

Its great Darren, love the clean look too. As far as the photos, they loaded just fine, the same time as all the text.

Images loading fine at this end. This one is not the greatest quality though.

Not much wrong with it as far as I could see.

Thanks Colin & Sharon for looking. By taking Lady Eyes advice earlier in this thread, made a big difference.

Good looking site Darren. You have the pics all down to around 30K or so. I assume there is more content coming, to fill out the site. Very good start though!!
