  • Is the size ok

    Hi everyone,
I'm using a large monitor, so when I view my site, it appears okay, but can someone tell me how it looks on a smaller screen.
I have tried viewing the different size options that IE offers you, but it still seems ok, but I just want to make sure.

The main site, is still having updates, so some of the pages are not available, and the pics need resizing, so please accept my apologies if that site takes too long to load.
I love BlueVoda, but I did WeddingCraftIdeas in FrontPage 2003, (nearly drove me mad with all its layers), so any helpful comments, would be gratefully appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Sue

    Hi Sue,

Your page looks great to me on my pc. Wonderful job, I do understand your concerns though and need people with smaller screens to look it over as overlapping happens. Good Job!

      Hi sue
looks great on mine to, links all work even the form.
i abit confused why you have used a advertising script on some text on the home page, this can be very deceiving for your customers when they think there going to see maybe an image or a write up and get another site.

        Hi SChajin,
Thank you for the great comments.
I checked out your Traveller site. I love the design of it, but because I use a larger monitor, the font looks quite large on mine. But it looks very inviting, just the same.
I checked out a site that was suggested to review and analyse your sites, I'll put the link below.
I found some errors, when I did mine, that I hadn't seen before, and as it's free to use, that has to be good.
        Thanks once again.
        Sue.

          Hi Alien Dude,
Many thanks for your positive comments.
Can you tell me which area you are refering to, when you say 'advertising script'?
I tried to be sure anything that was written didn't give that impression, but perhaps I missed something.
          Post me the details, please.
          Sue

            Re: Is the size ok

on your home page you have a large bloke of text telling people about your business some of the text are links that when you move the mouse over it a pop up appears. these links are to sites not connected to your site though this looks good and in some cases can be profitable for the site owner as you they get payed pre click . it can put the customer right off as they think they are going to get more info on your site were infact they are being sent away from your site to something that they have no intrest in, it's better to keep veiws looking at your site and if you have to have adds stick to the google adds which you have on the right side of the screen.

              Re: Is the size ok

I have a large screen and high resolution - so all looks good here. I like the color you've used for the business you have.

But, I would click off your site as soon as I discovered that you have all your own pages open in another window. Within the same site it's considered common courtesy to not do that (except in cases like a pop-up window for a larger picture - or say a **** store with a pop-up window to tell which size to select).

You should use the new window whenever your link is taking people off your site.

Just a head's up - you don't want to upset people you hope to get business from.

I saw that to but I didn't pay attention, I thought it was something she set up. Crazy.

Your site looked lovely on my laptop, the soft colors were a bit hard to read but maybe I need better glasses. I do agree with the others that the "advertising script" is a bit confusing. Best of luck!
