    Scared to do this

I am new to this but have managed to get some pages together and have my website up an drunning because I need it out there asap.
The idea was to get it out there then I can take my time re-arranging things, adding things etc.
It is very simple and I know I have loads of problems, which I am trying to get help for but could you please have a quick look and reccomend any way to jazz it up, it needs a lot of jazzing up.

    Hey, Marie!

You have a great website started! I bounced around a bit, and most of your links are working, and at least there are no missing pages (unlike my first efforts!) LOL

I might suggest that you consider adusting your font color away from the "cream" and maybe into a white or a med-darker grey>> reason being when you look at your text on interior pages, you can see how obviosly easier it is to read.....something you need to address on your buttons....

Otherwise, you've got something great going on!

**Oh, in case anyone tries to check out my site(s) this weekend, I have to re-publish it since it was reset by Voda to resolve a problem I was having.....I am appreciative they resuced me, but back to square one!

Dont ever be scared, there is a first time for everything.

You have already improved your site since the 1st vist I made, and your right, it does need that something extra.

Why not start with posible 1 or 2 thumbnails depicting the type of business
that you are trying to sell.

Perhaps a header behind your name and navigation buttons.

There are so many things you can do and I am sure that you will receive many more suggestions.........

Hints: on your nail gallery page, move your pics up, too much white space.
I assume you are still working on your contact page......
your feedback page needs to have a submit button.

Most of your links worked well, but the position of your nav buttons kept changing....try to put them in the same position on each page.

Keep at it and I can see that you will end up with a great site.

      Lots of luck.
      Have fun
      Regards..... David

        Whoops! Forgot to add:

Images help to express your offerings in ways words alone cannot.
Do you have any photos of you performing these services, or small product groupings you can crop to place on the appropriate pages?
(not too big, not too small - cropped tight for clarity) This will add some color and character, and will also become a focal point contrasted to your color scheme.
        Simplicity sells....and images entice!

            Hi!

I’m newbie here, but I’m not restricted to express my humble opinion: The whole construction of site looks well organized, except for some pages – some links (Surely they are under construction)…
I agree with vasili - I think you should change font color, especially over buttons: you should make it more contrasted with background; maybe you’ll loose in thorough composition of page, but you’ll gain in quick grasping of content of pages by customers, as a lot of customers have a habit to take a momentary glance through the content of page.

            Regards,
            Mirza.

              Re: Scared to do this

              Hi Tinks,

I gotta say well done on getting your site up and running so quik!...ive been working on mine for months and its still not done!

Like David said ...i do think it needs something extra....personally i would have chosen some calmer colours ..the red on blue hurts my eyes and makes it a little hard to read for these tired old eyes.....and take the colour throughout your site ...maybe look at a few other beauty sites to give you some ideas.

theres a big sideways scroll to on my screen maybe set your page width to 800...and thats a really good idea that Vasili has to have a photo of you doing your work.

If you go to layout in BV then scroll down to guide settings, then show guide borders... then set your page to 800 ..you will have a guide of a dotted line keep within this line and that will take care of the sideways scroll....hope this helps

              Well done so far :o)

                Hi Tinkerbell
You said you need some ideas to "jazz it up", well here is some stuff you might want to use. If you want any just right click and "save image as".

They all have the same background colour as your home page.

Great site! I agree with all suggestions above. On your price page your nail art per nail isn't on the same line as the price. Definitly like any of Royb's suggestions! You have done a GREAT job, just a little tweaking needed. Good luck with your business!

Thankyou everyone, Thankyou Roy, have went for No. 4, much appreciated.
I'll get there eventually and will have the pleasure of saying I did it instead of paying someone else.

Its always a pleasure to help out. You might as well save them all to your files just in case. The ones on the right are just a slightly smaller version. I would try both sizes and see which looks better.
I will remove them in a couple of days to post other bits and bobs. If you need anything else don't be frightened to ask.

                          Re: Scared to do this

Royb, is there any chance you could lose the background colour from those images, I love the writing but am still unsure about my page background colour so wouldn't want to waste them if I decide to change my background colour. I don't mean to sound ungrateful because I am not just still playing about with my pages and don't want to be limited to blue and pink.
Floor Lady, there are a few items of text all over the place with line spacing here there and everywhere, I did put a post up about it but got no replies. Do you have any ideas why it is doing this it is looking o.k.until I publish it.

They would have to be remade with whatever b/ground colour that you decide on. When you have decided, let me know which design that you want and I will sort it out.
