    1st website launched

    Hi all,

This is the 1st website I've built, hopefully one of many to follow - take a look at it (www.debestevakanties.nl) and let me know what you think. Feel free to comment & remark on anything and everything related to my site - sorry it's in Dutch! Every comment will be carefully read and deeply appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you,

    Cheers & thanks

great design, links intact and carefully laid out. dont really have any criticisms im afraid - maybe change the mouse over style on the navigation.
I can't read dutch but thats my fault for not listening at school, otherwise, superb.

    Well done.

      Hi Suresh

I dont know what everyone else will see but on my 800x600 screen resolution ..sorry but it looks a little bit messy, maybe you should set your page guides and page widths and centre them, it looks like you have things outside the template ...your ads would look better if more organised.

But i have to say all your links worked and it loaded pretty good on my dial up ... youve made a great start well done ...keep tweaking you will get there ;o)

The idea is good, but I'm on a 1024 screen and a lot of information could be lost if you don't scroll, actually the top left of my screen was in blank I thought there was somethin g missing until I scrolled over and saw that the other side was the same realised that your picture was in the center,
it took 5secs to load I'm on dsl, hope this helps

              Thanks Narobe,

As I told Linda, I will work on centering my info and getting it into 800 x 600. Did you have to scroll left to right or top to bottom? Any other comments/suggestions?

              Cheers

                Suresh,

Once youve set your page guidelines, you will see a dotted line around your work area...keep everything to the left or just on the line ...the line to the right of your screen ...this is the important one ..anything that goes over that line will end in a scroll ....the length isnt so important as people dont mind scrolling up and down, once you have your page how you want it dont forget to go into page properties and recheck your page width is still set to what you want it ..800...then save...then publish.

Has a lot of color, I agree with Linda to center your page. She told me also how to do it. Can't read a thing but I do like the color. I have a travel site also. Have fun and good luck.

I think I would change the mouseover on the menus they let it down a little bit. Also the menu buttons jump about from page to page, try and get them consistent on each page. These are not major faults but little things that will improve the visit for visitors.
All in all its a really nice site although I can't read dutch.
