Which home page are you looking at because if its the free contact form
then there is almost nothing to load.......

David, thanks for your help with the forms on the website I'm working on - I'm still confused about what to put in the "action" area on the blue voda form - I think as soon as I get that right - it'll be working!

Also, I'd like to be able to make my form go to both the web people for this website AND a copy be sent to the person who fills it out - is there a simple way to do this?

Hi beth, its important to put the name of the php file in the forms "ACTION" box, so if the php file is called contactus then the "ACTION" box will read
contactus.php

Several people have posted various answers to your 2nd question but I have found that this method works for me........

duplicate this whole section in your php file thus:

$mailsubj = "Feedback from my website form";

reset ($HTTP_POST_VARS);
$mailbody = "Values submitted from my website form:\n";

better still, email your existing php file and the 2 email addresses and I will fix
it for you..............

David, please have a look at the updated forms tutorial. So you can implement three lines of code to avoid sending also the submit button value.

For the autoresponder part, it would be advisable to also change the text appearing. So have a look at the http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/for...sing-form.html post nr 6

David, re: Ur install of contactus.html, there is a form on my site now look pls. is this yours. can I see the codes so if need be I can chang e the email address. If it is the one I donot if it works. I tried but did not receive anything in george@mayatabasco or staff@mayatabasco.com do I need the extension .mx or no?

The problem I always had was " select all files" there is no prompt for this on my notepad.

choco, send me an email from the address you want your form emails sent to
and I will make sure that its OK...................and yes that form is the one I installed for you.........I am getting a confirmation email so I know its working.

I've just tried your download for a 'contact us' page. It all works great.
However, when a 'contact, is sent to me it does not enter their e-mail address in the "From" box so I can't just hit the reply button. Also, it comes to me in plain text and my reply is consequently by default, in plain text as well as opposed to my preference-HTML

Peter, I have sent you an email on this subject, and for the benefit of others, it looks as if you have 2 "from" items in your php script.

Your fields are not being sent in the order that you have created them on your form either.

Send me your thankyou.php script and I will sort it out for you.

Incidently, I dont think that this is my original "simple form" but lets get it working anyway...............
