Its nice and bright ButterflyLady.. always a bonus to have things nice and colourful. The other alternative is to have everythig faded and looking very minimalist but that can be a hard thing to achieve.

I agree with everybody who said something regardng that layout. Your idea is excellent but kind of in the way Vasili said.....

The pages would be soooooo much better if they all looked the same. Not identical of course. It's good that you have used different pictures and different ideas on each page but try this.....

Make one page.... Index....

Then save that page as lots of other page names too...

Aboutme....
contactme...
aboutyou... etc

Then load each of those pages (which, once you have done the above, will all be identical) and enter onto them the relevant info ie.. about me, contct details etc.

When you save them you will find that all the pages look identical still but the oinfo on them will be correct.

This will give you site exactly the same appearance through out.

You are working very hard though and doing a good job too:)

Actually, the interior pages would look rather ***** if they had the same image of the butterfly from the Portal as a watermarked background, like you suggested, with the content laid over it.....

This would offer the continuity that is so important, and be truly themed properly.

(I did that same thing on my corporate site...if you enter on the Guest side, you'll see a full color pix at the Lobby, and if you click on Careers for instance, the image is thrown back and slightly larger for effect.)

The Butterfly Lady likes the whole concept alot!

She is also very ill today, but will attempt to make all these changes either later (when the drugs kick in) or tomorrow...(depending how hard they kick).

Thanks Vasili for all your help. I really feel like this is taking shape!

I'll check back later tonight... Oh, how do I do the image as a watermark? That would be good to know!

p.s. do you have any diamond butterflies (grin).
