    Reset Option

It would be nice to have a RESET option at the PUBLISH login box so that if you need to start fresh, that option will clear all the old files and allow you to start fresh...

The problem with that is that people just dont read. They would be hitting it and erasing things that they shouldnt and that the folder needs to be active to work correctly.

What you are asking is a breach of "Control Panel security".
Access to clear any files in your cPanel directories requires a
      closely guarded username and password.

If you want to clear files from your folders and dirctories in cPanel
use your Blue FTP under your own direct visual supervision.

It is a good idea but if you accidentally pushed the reset button by mistake, then you will loose all of your previous work. Zuriat is right, I think your best option is to go to the Blue FTP and just delete them there, at least you also have a visual of what you are reseting or deleting.
