I think it would be a great idea to be able to ctrl and click on elements to group them together in order to move the group around. For example when the elements are on a template you can't move the elements around as a group using the drag operation without moving the template as well.
Ctrl_click would sork like a charm

Bruce... you are able to do that (Shift+Click).. This will add one element at a time as you click on it... it will also un-select an element.. Also, you can click and drag the mouse over several objects to select them all.
