RapidSSL_Secure website?

Hi Voda Host,

When you subscribe for Rapidssl thru VH, is the whole site secured or is it just the store?

I need to secure my Family Tree Database as it contains a lot of personal info and I do not want the information to be made available to every Tom, Dick and Harry, incl Jane when they log on to my website. I also need to protect the database from "Bots" harvesting the information.

You dont need ssl for this. Simply password protect your pages and use a robots.txt file excluding them from spidering those pages. Make sure you dont include them on a site map as well.

Database info is NOT available to anyone, unless you have given them your username / password (in which case they can login in your CP and from there into the database and look whatever they want.)
