Wow. Understanding the stats is a bit daunting. Can someone tell me what exactly is meant by "Unique Visitors"?

Re: Unique Visitors?
That is a unique person, meaning that that number is the number of people who've accually visited your site.
Hits are just a number of how many times that same person viewed or refreshed that page ..

We refer to a "unique visit" or "unique visitor" when a page is produced for view and an indentifiable IP address can be attributed to that request, indicating a greater liklihood that a real person or verifiable User address performed such a "visit" (or recall). Thus, the Search Engines see greater value to sites that "thinking visitors" elect to visit despite any purely logical flaws or construct issues that may remain inherent to the website (the SE's can't see past the computer language they know, and 'prefer to defer' to the human factor).
It is important to have commonly used terms properly defined if they are to become usable parameters to our ongoing online success!
* Hard Rank is earned by sustained unique visits, and, valued more highly, demonstrates many more underlaying metrics and probable sophistication of website development and relevance to the Search Valuation System. Hard Rank, as such, is more commonly developed/designed by strategic use of valued inbound links, net presence (footprint), and cohesive content relevance to the current Search Requests.
