Firebug, Page Speed, htaccess.

I have been using Firebug on my site http://www.lsrinmin.co.uk on the leverage browser caching, it say's to add expiration dates in the .htaccess file, is this file somewhere in the Cpanel, or do I have to create it, if I have to create it where would I place it when finished.

The .htaccess file is in cPanel.

You can also access thru BV FTP Manager.
It will be in the public_html directory or in an Add On directory.
