    Trying to retrieve LOST photos

    Good morning!
I've lost all the photos used on the guesthouse site in what can only be described as the final meltdown in a long series of computer crashes. Not good. How can I retrieve the photos that are currently featured on the site? I need to refresh pages but am afraid to touch anything until I learn how to pull the web photos from the site that I wish to continue using.
    Thank you!

Simply connect to your account via BlueFTP and copy your "images" folder down to your system's hard drive (since BlueFTP is somewhat easier to use and see the folder). Or, you can do the same via your cPanel if you prefer.

        STILLTrying to retrieve LOST photos

I got the photos back onto my hard drive through the FTP page, very easy Vasili! When I bring up a site page in BV for revision and republishing, none of the photos appear, I mistakenly assumed this was because they were deleted from my hard drive. Now I can't make any changes to my pages without physically replacing each photo. Forgive me my ignorance but what exactly is going on? Aren't these photos linked in cyberspace irrelavant of what is happening down here on my decrepit computer? And to think I'm a, just a minute let me check, a 1st Lieutenant!?!
How can I get my BV working pages to display the photos that are currently on the published pages?
        Thank for your patience!

Re: Trying to retrieve LOST photos

No, there is no "quicker way" to re-populate the pages on yuor local system: since the paths to the photos were not preserved, they need to be re-associated to the page files individually.
Were you to simply Publish the pages without seeing the photos on the page, they would in fact publish properly online, as the paths to the photos as detailed in the page construct are the same as what the server has established (the photos are in the proper folder on the server, so they can be "called" to produce the page according to the coded parameters you have dictated).
But, although you have the page files in Blue Voda on your local system with those design parameters, the path to each photo needs be re-associated to the source folder now in place on your HD before you can actually "see" them in your pages opened in Blue Voda.

No way around it, and is simply part of what is required to restore your Files and Properties ... since all the "reclaimed" pictures are the precise size as last published and most of your sites have few pictures, it shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience.
