password protect directories

Hello,

This may be a basic question so apologies. I have a website developed a while back and have noticed that I can access all folders on the site. For example if I type in www.themininggrindingoffice.com/calculators I can see all the subfolders and all the files which are in the calculators folder.
Is it possible to prevent this?
I tried with the password protect directories of cPanel without success.

You need to Password Protect the "calculators" Directory (as you correctly assume) via the PASSWORD PROTECTION option available in your cPanel just as outlined in the Tutorials.

If you are unsuccessful, it is obviously due to an error on your part in following the easy-to-use method outlined in the Tutorial, so be sure to understand the process completely before attempting to implement.
