    domain name

i have purchase a domain name from another company for five years...
now i wish to transfer it to bv...
i know bv offers one free transfer....but after transferring my name to bv...will i still be able to use the domain name for five years or the money which i paid for 5 years would be a waste.

No, you will lose your 5 years, basically you paid the company and the company is suppose to pay ICANN, but but ICANN only accepts yearly payments. So the company you purchased it from will pay ICANN over 5 years. If you transfer it, the company will probably keep your money. (I am not sure about this, every company has a diffrent refund policy, your best bet is to call them) All names transfered to VodaHost receive a one year extension.
