Add on domain. Before I paint myself in a corner

Hello,
I have a BV account and am trying to add 2 new domain names.
When I try to buy the domains I have the options of already being
a customer or being new.
I chose existing customer and continued.
Problem is I get and error message when I use the email addy
I signed up with.
Any ideas?
