Add-ons, publishing and e-mails

First time trying to add-on a domain.

For www.ftaaconsulting.com Client ID 10008 I have just created an Add-on Domain, separate websites under the same account. The Add-on URL exists already and I will redirect NS.... planning on doing it this afternoon.

-Do I redirect NS' before creating e-mails for them, (the e-mails are in use today at the other server) ?

-When I publish pages for the Add-on, how do I avoid overwriting my "index" page for www.ftaaconsulting.com ?

1) DNS Comes first / everything else is secondary. Wait 24 hours after you update the name servers before taking any further action.

2) When you create a addon, The server will create a new directory (folder) publish everything for this addon in the new directory.

If I redirect now, will they have access to e-mails at the old server during the waiting period?
