    Second Website?

    Hi there...

I have a website at BV (www.bubbeesbeads.org) and was wondering what it would cost to build another site? and is it the same procedure as building the first? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Mindy

You can buy a new domain name and simply add it as an 'add-on' domain to your first one, Mindy. You also have to ensure that the DNS is pointed correctly. It's pretty straight forward to do. No-one will ever know that your new domain is, in any way, linked to your original one (unless you tell them). You then build your new site in exactly the same way as you did your first.

Please note that you must create a new folder within your BlueVoda folder (perhaps called Site_2 or similar), on your pc, and save any new pages (for your second site) to the new folder. This will help keep you organised and ensure that you don't accidentally overwrite any of your site 1 pages.

When you come to publish your new site you will publish in the same way but will publish to public_html/site_2 (where site_2 is the name of your add-on domain).

So the cost is simply the price of a new domain name.

      Re: Second Website?

Good advice from Amanda as usual..............

You could also add a subdomain to your account (for free) if you wished your second site to be related to your first site.

This then would look like this:

or any name you care to use.............
