making add-on domain the main domain

I have a main domain that I never developed into a website, but the add-on domain is a full working website.
I would like to discontinue the main domain name and make the add-on domain its own exclusive domain. How do I go about doing this without interrupting the add-on? Or can I do this, if at all?
    Thanks for your help.

I think that you would have to put in a support ticket for this one.......
    Have fun

Yes David is right. I did this on my domain names and the support group were great to fix it right up for me! Just explain in support ticket exactly what you want to do.

Do you really need to do this though as addon domains can be set so that nobody knows it's associated with your main domain unless you tell them??

Not necessarily. Sometimes a primary domain may be up for renewal and the owner doesn't want to renew it, so he'd need a new primary. Also, some scripts simply don't "play nice" with an add on domain, another good reason to change.
