    change domain name

I bought a domain name ntdesigns.org with my account but have been advised that it would be better if I had a name that helped me be found by search engines. as my activity is making stairs and I'm based in France I would prefer something like escalieretrampe.com. Is there anyway to change my domain name, resell it or something or do I have to just buy another one?
    thanks for your answer.

    Re: change domain name

    Hi Ness,

Simply just buy another one. Whichever domain agent you purchased this from will not take it back and it is unlikely anyone will buy this domain, it won't have any value. So just hang on to it and purchase the one you are after.

If you purchased the domain through VH, you can either possibly ask them to reset your account with the new domain when you purchase it, or you could leave it as it is and add it as an add on domain. Personally I would try the first option if they can do it.
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

Your domain name should be something people can remember. Personally, I could remember ntdesigns a whole lot better than escalieretrampe.com - but perhaps that is the english and not the french in me, lol ...

but in any case, you can optimize your pages for stair making and your domain name is the least of your worries in that matter ...

In my opinion I don't think you need another domain name ..

I could sell coffee on a website called ladyeye - it is all how you market and optimize your site, if you can see what I mean ..

LadyEye is right - however, if you do not have the website built yet- the domain name is one of the considerations. If your market is entirely French and the name you said will be better for it - then go ahead and purchase it. Maybe you could have a second website as a business website using the already purchased name - or redirecting to the new - or to help with the non-French people who find you.
