    New domain names

I must apologise I can't find my thread from yesterday.

I have bought domain names in the past and when I've checked them they are shown immediatly as 'taken' and when you visit the urls it took me to 123-reg.co.uk holding page.

    Now I bought 2 yesterday

    websiting.co.uk & dcwebsolutions.co.uk

But when I check them on the various whois sites they are still available to buy. What would happen if someone else tried to buy them?

I have had the confirmations of purchase from 123-reg.

I know new domains go around the world and all that but I am suprised that the new domains don't have a 'taken' status by now.

    Any thoughts anyone

    Re: New domain names

    Hi Darren,

These obviously haven't been registered as I can buy them if I wanted to.

You might want to consider using a better domain purchasing company such as TELIVO. They will hold the site for you the SECOND you purchase it. You can also repoint your servers to VH ones in about 5 mins too.
Don't aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

          Re: New domain names

Ramsey I bought www.websiting.co.uk through Telivo and they are now holding the page, as you can probably see (I thought for a couple of quid..what the heck)

But the strange thing now if I go to the control panel on www.123-reg.co.uk, it now appears here with my others. I'll have to see what happens but a bit weird don't you think?

oh! ummmmm.... Well it looks to me like TELIVO have it, so I would email 123 and say something like 'sorry but you took too long!'
