Domain name i purchased already in use?

Hello all,

I just published my first website, which is just the home page of my website. To see if it working i typed in the domain name i own and got put on a totally different site? www.diydatabase.net is where it put me, but i thought i owned that domain name. I thought if i purchased it that i owned that name and it couldnt be used by another person.

Any help would be great. On a side not i couldnt find my website either.

Your DNS (name servers) needed updating, I just took care of it for you...please allow a few hours for the updates to take effect.

Just wondering how another webpage with the same address can come up. Is that permanent?
