        Hi Tom,

Can I now publish like normal and that will make the web page changes in the correct palce or do I have to modify my addon status?
        Kind Regards

          Re: Domain Name transfer

I suppose it will be okay to publish Rob. I do not have much personal experience about addon domains yet. Once you have received your confirmation from Uniforum, you can test your site again. If it is not there, we will take the next step. In the mean time, you can continue publishing.
          Bless you
          Tom

            Re: Domain Name transfer

            Hi Tom,

If I publish will the chnages be made to my gnjgf.co.za website.

I would expect that with the pointing being changed I do not have to go republish everything.

If I publish would I then publish to public_html/gnjgf or public_html/gnjgf.co.za?

            I am not sure.
            Kind Regards

                Hi Rob,

Click here for the tutorial. You need to publish to the public_html/gnjgf folder. See the description below the tutorial video.
                Bless you

                  Hi Tom,

                  Thats perfect.

                  The subdomain exsists.

Do I have to redirect or is that already done by th euniforum scenario?

I see the tutorial is slightly differnet to the cPanel I have but no problem I think that mearly indicates that I joined at an earlier date to this release being available.
                  Kind Regards

                    Hi Rob,

The UniForum update will automatically point to your hosting server and your site should be up and running as soon as the update has been done. The last one I did for a friend took less than an hour for the site to be visisble after the changes made by UniForum.
                    Bless you
                    Tom

                      Hi Tom,

                      Thanks again for your help.

I am publishing so long but do not see the changes occuring. Maybe it will take a bit longer.

With the servers already set I would have expected it to be showing. Maybe I should not be to expectant but more patient.

Question - With me being hosted with Vodahost do I still need to have MWeb?

This costs on both end sand I think somewhere some money can be saved.

I know this is not the thread but as a Neighbour in the same country you might have found something that works.

YOu have my contact details at uniform if you would like to respond via normal mail.
                      Kind Regards

                        Okay Rob,

I'll contact you per email. By the way, lol, you are confusing me a bit... You started with a site gngu in your fisrt post above and we ended with gnjgf.... Was'nt the last one with VH all the time? I do not see any changes done at UniForum for the gngu site at all....
                        Bless you
                        Tom

                          Hi TOm,

It does get a bit confussing.

I am doing both gngu and the gnjgf.

The gnjgf is the one I am busy with and having discussion with here.

I go through the similar process during the day assisting the Union with there as they are in a similar position.
                          Kind Regards

                            Hi Rob,

I've reconsidered and answersing you here. Others might learn from the eperience as well.

You still need Mweb as you service provider (ISP) to get you connected to the outside world. VH is your hosting company only. Mweb is your ISP and if you have a package with them, the email is included. I use Telkomsa as my ISP and the additional email comes in handy.
                            Bless you
                            Tom

                                Hi TOm,

Thanks that sorts a lot of things.

Mweb stays, VH stays, Telkom stays.

Again your time here is valued - I will drop you a line once up and publishing.
