2 domain names

ok i added the second domain name on the add on. very simple, now how do i switch one domain with the other.

???? Do you mean publish to one then publish to the other.
Publish to your main domain= public_html
Publish to the addon domain= public_html/addondomainname

what i mean is how do I change my 2 main domains, i don't want the original one anymore and want to change it with another on the cpanel. so i can have it say that my main domain is (the new one)

You will have to put in a Support Ticket

Before you do that, think about the old site. You might want to do a redirect to the new site - that is if the new site is replacing the old site. That would allow you to keep any links that existed to the old site or if anyone had it bookmarked. All you would need to do is publish the old site index page with it blank and then redirect it and anyone going there would be redirected to your new site.
I purchased another domain just because of its name and redirected it to my main site.
