setting up an add on domain

I have a site hosted by BlueVoda, www.lesleinlawn.com and wanted to start another site called cornhole4you.com.

I paid for the domain registration, I have paid for hosting.

I do not even no where to start on explaining the problem.

I try to publish but it wants to publish to my original site. I would post the messages I get but I am not allowed to do that here, so I will try to explain.

I started site 2 as an add on to site 1.

When I go to control panel it only recognizes the first site (lesleinlawn.com).

In my original email it says to change DNS, I did, I get nothing.

Re: help with setting up an add on domain

Okay .. you will need to add on this domain.

In your control panel you choose the icon, add on domain ..

add on this domain .. a folder will be created for you .. this is the folder that you will publish to ..

So go ahead and do that ..

Firstly, when did you purchase the domain and from who?

I purchased the domain 2 days ago, and from BlueVoda.

Now I will go do what you said.

Re: help with setting up an add on domain

And you have created an index page for this new domain .. you know how to name and save your pages, right??

So now you will publish to

                public_html/cornhole4u.com

You will physically need to type this in the publish box when you go to publish in the web builder, you will also need to remove this again when publishing to your main domain ...

You will also need a folder of its own for this new domain onyour computer, otherwise pages like index will be overwritten by each other .. so make a separate folder to store all this domain's things in ...

OK I did that while trying to publish.

I get : Error 550: can't change directory to public_html/cornhole4you.com: no such file or directory.

right it is somewhat painless so far. But I still cannot publish.

Just to confirm: when you created your add-on, you did add the ".com" as required, correct??
And....when trying to publish, you are adding the domain in the Publish Dialog Box as > public_html/cornhole4you.com correct?

So....you CAN see your new published page, correct???

okay, so perhaps you have a different control panel

remove the .com and try just the name ..
