How to use Temporary url instead of Domain name

When I signed up with Vodahost I stupidly used a domain name hosted elsewhere. I am trying to download soholaunch and of course it wants to use the DN I registered with. I emailed to have my DN removed. Not possible, but they said I could use my temporary url 208.43.217.132/mypassword. How do I do that?

Soho requires the use of a domain.. you can fool your computer into believing it is seeing the domain name that is elsewhere in reality by configuring your windows hosts file...this works only until you clear the cache...however...

Try here for instructions on doing this
