    Cancelled Transfer & Costs question

    Hello
    My request to transfer a domain was cancelled due to Admin & Technical assistant not being me. I contacted them on Thursday and he said he would do it, and it would take 24 hours. Today I looked at 'whois' and none of the details have been changed, but when I contacted them they said they had informed new hosts of changes, and whois would not change until my new host, hosts the site????

    My second question relates to the cost of transfering a domain.
    Like I explained above when I tried to transfer the domains I was billed from vodahostdomains....however this transfer did not happen. I am attempting to transfer again, but it is again telling me that there are charges. Please don't say that I have to pay for each attempt, because the way this is going I will be skint before Christmas.

    1) Don't take any **** from them. Tell them you want to be listed as the
    admin. & Tech. contact TODAY..this is your domain. YOU OWN IT!

    They provided you with false info..You can not transfer until the change are made

      Oh *****...I have spent so long on this. It is no good me ringing them cos they just tell me that they have done what they need to do. When I contacted them after the failiure they questioned why I wanted the admin/Tech contact changing to me. Since the domain's registration ends in 23 days would it be worth just persivearing with .co.uk registration, and then register it to myself when it lapses, then link it to my site on voda???

      Also do I need to pay again for the transfer?

        You will not be billed twice for the same transfer.You are only billed on success.

            Like I say I contacted them today, and they said they had contacted 'I assumed voda'. I asked him how he would know who to contact and he said from the email. If you could have a look and advise me further, cos like I say there does not seem to be anything more I can do

              Well you have my sympathies. I have spent three weeks trying to get my domain (for which I am already the admin contact) transferred to Vodahost. Finally today and now I seem to have a few days of a waiting period before it goes through. I wonder if your UK hosting company could possiBly be the same inepT incompetent crowd that I am moving from. Customer service how are you. Thanks for companies like Vodahost to restore faith in customer service.
