Transfer of web page

I currently have a web page hosted on *******.com
I just purchased a vodahost account and really want to upgrade my web site using the sohlaunch shopping cart. What should I do first. Transfer my domain over to vodahost. If so Which option should I take

Option 1
Transfer your domain name to VodaHost. Please visit the below url for

Option 2
Leave your domain name where it is and update your name servers (DNS).
This means you will need to contact the company
that originally sold you your domain name and tell them that you would
like to update your name servers (DNS)

a) Your new VodaHost name servers are in the welcome letter we sent you.
(they begin with the letters NS)

b)Some of the larger companies provide online control panels where you
can update your name servers on your own without having to contact them.

If I take option 2 do I still have to keep my ******* acount active??/

Option 2 means you still pay your original company for the domain name, and pay VodaHost for the hosting service. I have three domain names, two with VH and one elsewhere. So far, they all work fine.

EDIT: Unless your original host allows you to "bail out" on the site they are hosting, you'd likely have to pay for hosting at both places until your original contract ended (if you signed up for a year, say, and still had six months to go).
