multiple urls on one account

Hi,
I have multiple url's on my main account
the main account is www.thetradesjournal.com
I also added www.mingamo.com (there is also ttraditions.com)

My question is, does having them on the same account require me to do SEO on both accounts? Does Thetradesjournal.com effect rankings of mingamo.com?

I ask this because I noticed if I type

www.thetradesjournal.com/mingamo.com it gets redirected to mingamo.

I had trouble getting the main TTJ site to get listed on google and I seem to have issues getting mingamo.com listed.

Any advise would be appreciated.
