Publish before DNS pointing to VH happens

Two quick questions
Can I publish my new addon before the DNS pointing to VH happens or will I need to do it all aver again? I know I have one addon but I did the NS well before I did the site.
Other one is, can I know when it is ready other than I just keeping on checking.

Yes, you can.

1. Create the addon domain in your CPanel. A folder for that addon domain will be automatically created.
2. Publish the addon domain pages in the specific folder.

Please note that until the DNS are pointed correctly and propagated through the net, the pages will only be accessible as http://www.maindomain.com/addondomainfoldername/
