How do I get an add on domain show up on it's own?

I just ordered www.virtualisraelnight.org to my account www.employeepraise.com

I want it to show up like this: www.virtualisraelnight.org not www.employeepraise.com/virtualisraelnight

How would l go about that?

I saw the video, set up my add on name I see the folder in public, I published my index page to it...yet nothing. Could this be a result of that I just ordered it last night and it needs time? Or is there something else I need to do?

    Thanks for you help!

Adding an additional add-on domain name to your account

    And ... how to PUBLISH ... >>
The method of publishing with Blue Voda to Add-On domains and Sub-Domains is virtually the same, by making simple changes within the Publish Dialog Box:
(Primary Account Domain) public_html/ .........<--- leave blank

    (Add-On Domain) public_html/addondomain

(Sub-Domain, as shown on Primary) public_html/primarydomainname/subdomainname

      Hi Vasili!

I see you are here to the rescue again!

I watched the vid and saw that I did what it said...

      I published to public_html/virtualisraelnight.org

nothing. Is this because I just ordered the url last night and it need time to process?

Re: How do I get an add on domain show up on it's own?

Drop the .org when you publish: if you don't get an immediate Error message, you're fine. Give the servers at least 15 minutes to cycle and resolve before freaking out.

Oh! And another thing ... if you "just ordered" your domain (through VodaHost, I presume after recalling the other thread on getting one free), be sure to add that domain to your account (a manual task you must perform - an assurance the domain is active as well and with a Tutorial in the cPanel area), and to give enough time for the domain to be fully activated .... could take 24-72 hours for a .com domain to be fully released after time of purchase. Other domains may take up to 5 days if they are a foreign extension being transferred.

I just tried publishing without the .org got error message 550.

I took a look in the public directory and see the file virtualisraelnight.org I cand see inside that folder the index file and it's components are there.

I did create the add on aldready, I see the add on, ftp and all relevant urls...

Where do we go from here?

Wait for the domain to activate, providing you manually "added it" to your account (if transferred it to or bought it from VH - there is a cPanel Tutorial for this), or changed the Nameserver entries (if purchased elsewhere and left there)...... there can be nothing else, except trying to refresh your browser, double-checking you created the properly spelled Add-On and it corresponds to the actual domain, etc.
