    domain vs add-on

I recently purchased a new domain name www.strawbalehomeforsale.com and in trying to get it published I have read a lot about add-on domains.

Am I to understand that an add-on does not increase the cost of hosting?

What is the advantage to having a stand-alone domain with separate hosting? Does it behave better for SEO?

    Re: domain vs add-on

When you buy hosting with VodaHost you can have as many domains as you like in your one hosting account, as long as the domains and websites belong to you. After your first domain, the rest are called add-on domains (logically enough). An add-on domain is a true domain so you do have to pay the going price for each domain name, but the actual hosting remains the same. Because "add-on" is just a descriptive term, it has no impact on SEO.

Thank you! Now I wonder how I go about changing to an add on from a separate hosting account? I have not published the new domain yet if that makes a difference, and I am paying by the month.
